The Problem

A feature arrived with technical issues, story issues, and a cut that did not yet carry the film the way the director wanted.

The Pressure

Multiple cuts, story repair, technical cleanup, and a feature-length rhythm that had to hold.

What I Shaped

Restructured the cut, repaired technical issues, changed scene emphasis, and found a clearer rhythm for the performances.

Final Result

The edit helped the film become more watchable, coherent, and alive.

When The Pick Up Artist came to me, the film was already partially edited, but it still needed a way through. It had technical problems, story problems, and a cut that did not yet carry the film the way the director wanted.

I took over the edit and helped rebuild the movie through multiple cuts, restructuring the story, repairing technical issues, and finding a clearer rhythm for the performances. A lot of the rewrite happened inside the edit: changing emphasis, rebuilding scenes, and reshaping the film until the story could hold together.

The film is now in its festival and screening life, and the response has been strong. My role was not just to polish a cut. It was to help the film become watchable, coherent, and alive.
