The Problem

A compact sci-fi romance had to make an emotional relationship conflict legible inside a heightened VR premise and short-film runtime.

The Pressure

A compact sci-fi romance built under short-film constraints.

What I Shaped

Directed, wrote, and edited the piece from concept through final presentation.

Final Result

A compact short that carries its technology premise through relationship, mood, and final cut.

PROXY was one of the hardest projects because I was carrying so many parts of it at once: writing, directing, editing, and shaping the final presentation.

The film was built to hold up beyond the moment it was made. I wanted the idea to still feel relevant years later, especially around technology, intimacy, escape, and the ways people use artificial connection to avoid real pain.

Because I was involved from concept through final cut, the challenge was not just making the film look right. It was keeping the idea, the performances, the frame, and the edit aligned around one uneasy feeling.
